Made in Japan using high-quality stainless steel, a product with warm sustainability that doesn't require electricity

Story

When you think about indoor heating, most people today use their heaters but we would like those who do to stop and take a look at the advantages of how eco-friendly and convenient hot water bottles can be. Primarily, it does not rely on electricity or oil which means saving you save in electricity bills to be warm. A sustainable yutanpo hot water bottle from Japan that is made of very durable stainless steel is said it can be used for 100 years.

Made in Tsubamesanjo, Niigata Prefecture, one of Japan's leading hardware producing areas, the yutanpo (hot water bottle) is durable enough to have people stand on it and it be fine. There is a special wool cover that feels smooth against your skin and continues to keep you warm for a long time.

Yutanpo 2

When sold in Japan, there were people who mentioned the lid was really hot when you held it to pour in hot water. Therefore, we changed to lid from brass to stainless steel, hence Yutanpo 2!

There are of course other nice benefits that are added

① Durability improved

② Rust resistant and long lasting

Stainless steel is stronger and studier than brass. It also is a material that does not rust easily and nor discolor, allowing you to use it for a long time without worrying about changes in its appearance.

Once the cold season starts coming around some people may have problems getting warm when they go to sleep. There are so many disadvantages of leaving the heater on for almost half a day. The 100 Years Yutanpo Hot Water Bottle solves those problems.

To use the hot water bottle, using the attached funnel just pour hot water inside keeping the yutanpo inside the cover, close the lid, and close the drawstring string on the bag. You can use the hot water bottle without having it directly touching you, so you do not have to worry about getting burned or troublesome preparations.

For those with pets, it can be a concern when seeing them get close to a stove or space heater, so the fact that you do not have to worry about that with the 100 Years Yutanpo Hot Water Bottle is a great factor.

Warm up your mattress and covers before going to bed

Thanks to the thickness of the wool cover’s fabric, it will not get too hot if it is wrapped inside. Furthermore, if you tie the drawstring and hang it a bit higher up you can make your own little Japanese kotatsu to warm up an entire space.

Warm up places that tend to get cold easily like your feet and stomach

Also great for the outdoors

This yutanpo hot water bottle can warm you up with just hot water even in an environment where electricity cannot be used. It is also recommended for ice fishing and watching sports outside!

You can also add ice water and use it to cool down in the summer!

If you put ice water instead of hot water inside and wrap it up in a towel or cloth, you can use it as a new kind of ice pack, a “hiyashi-tanpo”! Thanks to stainless steel exhibiting thermal conductivity, adding ice will quickly make it cooler and ideal for hot weather days. It can also be used comfortably when you put your children down for a nap when they have a fever.

Also good to add to your disaster supplies kit

It is not only great for keeping warm, but can also be used for storing drinking water. Allowing you to be prepared for unpredictable, lifeline-related emergencies.

Manufactured in Tsubamesanjo, Niigata Prefecture, which is one of Japan's leading hardware production areas

It is strong against a heavy load

Strong against rust

The 18-8 stainless steel that the yutanpo hot water bottle is made of is not only rust resistant but is also a durable and strong metal that is often used in tableware and cutlery that can be used for a long time.

Thermally efficient shape

The shape is to transfer the heat from the hot water that is inside to a wider area and to ensure stability when placed down so that it delivers warmth to your body and/or within your bed. The surface is uneven to both increase the surface area of the main structure and improves the thermal efficiency.

A stainless steel handle as a safeguard

Since the cap has a handle, it can be opened and closed without directly touching the main structure of the hot water bottle when you’re pouring hot water in. It can also be used to carry it around.

No leakage and can be used for a long time

The top and bottom parts of the hot water pot are completely welded together. When you want to use it, pour 2 liters of hot water at 80°C/176°F and close the lid shut tightly.

Manufactured in one of Japan's leading wool product producing areas, Mitsuke City

The seamless cover is made out of a piece of felt and cotton. It is a product that you can continue to use for a long time without worrying about fraying, tearing, or it getting scratched.

Soft to the touch

The cover is fluffy and soft. Being made of wool felt, just the cover alone will warm you up.

High heat retention - A double structure of cotton and wool

The heat will last longer than just using the yutanpo hot water bottle alone! The cover has excellent heat retention that keeps a gentle warmth all through the night.

Can be used as a felt bag

You can also use the cover as a heat insulating bag for hot dishes like soups and lunches. The thick fabric provides a firm cushion and can be used as a shock-resistant container.

The cotton liner also has a mini pocket inside.

It is the Japanese spirit to use nice products for a long time

This is the product before the update

Living on an island country with limited land and resources, the Japanese have long acquired the wisdom of living to "cherish and use something for as long as possible." This culture and spirit for the word “mottainai” in Japanese is now beginning to be known worldwide. To not live in a typical consumption-type society where you use something up and throw it away instantly, but rather to have nice things that can be used for a long time. This way of thinking is similar to what we now call SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and is also a shared concept in our manufacturing.

We usually manufacture cutlery and Western tableware, but we would like you to be able to use "nice things" that are different from your average plastics and other materials.

We hope that the 100 Years Yutanpo Hot Water Bottle will contribute to a more sustainably recycling-oriented society that does not put a tax on the environment.

Starting to do good for the environment by using simple living tools

Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture is known nationwide for being a region where metalwork is considered a local industry. Having been involved in metalwork for a long time there, I am working hard to create new things by fusing the field of hardware with lifestyle ideas.

From the moment the materials and shape are chosen, the 100 Years Yutanpo Hot Water Bottle is something that is meant to be used for a long time. With the need to reduce the use of electricity and oil and to live easier, the first step is to update these old ideas and inventions with modern technology and ideas. We think that it will make the way of life better and more enjoyable.

We will devote ourselves to manufacturing with the spirit of valuing things and without any regrets, by the efforts of craftsmen carefully creating one by one.

This Project is promoted by Japankuru Funding, Bringing Japanese Products to the West!
This campaign is powered by FUNDINGINSIDER. Providing an All-Inclusive One Stop Crowdfunding service for developers to freely express their ideas. All the way from consulting, video productions, and marketing! Beyond expectations.

Do not touch the body of the hot water bottle with hot water inside. Hold it by the handle of the cap to help reduce the risk of getting burned.

  • Never heat the hot water bottle directly over an open flame or IH stove, as it may cause deformation, damage, or an accident.
  • Wash the wool case by hand. If you use the washing machine, please use a washing net and refrain from putting it in the dryer because it may shrink.
