Most of the costs for cookware like pots are exported from overseas and are no longer made in Japan.
Our company is particular about the made in japan title and developed a highly energy efficient pot that uses an aluminum high density material which is not used by other manufacturers.
We are based in plastic processing techniques like pressing, spinning, and molding and have an integrated production system from planning to manufacturing. When manufacturing this pot, aside from the surface all manufacturing processes were done in-house.
It is worth mentioning that this pot is made using our original metal spinning technology (which is the origin of plastic manufacturing) that other manufacturers do not have. For that reason, it is extremely lightly finished.
Anhydrous cooking pots (cooking that does not require adding water, you just rely on the water contained in the food itself) are grabbing the attention of increasing health conscious individuals.
Particularly when the number of meals eaten at home increase, anhydrous cooking can shorten the cooking time without losing its nutritional value is preeminent.
Furthermore, this POD+PAN does it all! It steams, boils, stews, cooks rice, stir-fries, grills, deep-fries, and can be put in the oven.
Since it is also durable, we would love for you to use it for two generations, from parents to children.
The pot is very durable and light that is made by spinning a high-density wrought aluminum alloy material (6 mm) which is corrosion-resistant and intended for ships and vehicles.
Wrought aluminum alloy material is unlike aluminum castings in the sense that pinhole defects do not outbreak during the manufacturing process, so there is a nice smoothness on the inner surface of the pot.

We hand polish by craftsman until the inside is smooth.
Reason for not using POD+PAN inner surface coating.
The NC lathe feed marks (unevenness like the eyes of a record disc) are smoothed by hand finishing.
After that, it is polished until it becomes smooth.
This step makes the food less likely to burn.
The result is a product that can be used for many years.
Any coating that is done will start to come off in say 2, 3 years.
For both outdoor and indoor use, we purposely did not coat the pot so that it can be used for as long as 20 to 30 years.
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to use a pot for two generations?
The Handle
The handle is shot peened with 6mm of aluminum and then anodized.
This handle has a thickness of 6 mm and has a very durable structure that is crimped with rivets. It has also passed the rigorous repeated strength tests of third-party testing institutions.

This is the process of attaching the handle to the body using a special machine for riveting.

The product has passed the test by a third-party organization.
A force of 58N, equivalent to twice the full water capacity, is repeatedly applied to the main body 10,000 times at a speed of 40 times per minute, and the residual deflection before and after the test is examined => the result is less than 0.1% (less than the specified 3%).

This is an important process to check for scratches and abnormalities while polishing just before shipping.
The Manufacturing Process Sequence
Since the aluminum pot itself is thick, stewed dishes are surprisingly done quickly. The weight of the lid is also an important factor.

Furthermore, since it has high thermal storage properties, when it reaches a suitable temperature it is a sufficient energy-saving model that can be used at medium or lower heat.
We mentioned how anhydrous cooking (cooking without water) condenses the nutrition of the ingredients but it is so much more than that. It also does that with food’s natural moisture and umami flavors.
We specialize in steamed dishes, and with the people’s aim for being healthier, we did not want to miss the bandwagon!

You can get 8 different types of uses/cooking styles out of this pot, which means you can you will have a wide variety of dishes at home as well as less luggage if you use it when camping.
The pot has extremely good thermal efficiency, so we ask that you cook using a more modest heat level than you work with an average pot or saucepan. Hardly any high heat cooking is needed with this pot.

Just like ovenware at home, cover the PAN with the PAD and bake. You can recreate the same effect while camping.
Brussels Sprouts au Gratin
As a pretreatment before use, throw in some store-bought rice bran and vegetable scraps and simmer for about 10 minutes to form a film and reduce blackening.
Aluminum pots turn black due to the aluminum reacting with water making and aluminum hydroxide stick to the surface. However, it is considered harmless and can be used without issues.
Especially with boiled eggs, calcium is dissolved from the shell and the color becomes a pretty dark black.
Professional chefs polish their cookware to a lovely shiny finish every day, but that is a bit of a hassle and difficult to do each time. So if you want to remove it easily, you can cut up a lemon in round slices or boil some water and apple skins. Another option to reduce the blackening is to boil citric acid powder (that you can get from the store) and water.
Please do not use baking soda on it.
You can create delicious dishes with little oil and seasoning. It is perfect for a healthy lifestyle.
The ingredients you add can be cooked in a very short time, which will make cooking is faster than ever.
Since the aluminum pot has good thermal storage properties, it continues to cook even with the stove turned off. Which adds an excellent energy saving effect.
■ Never heat the pot while it is empty.
If you put it on the stove while it is empty, it may damage, deform, and/or melt the aluminum body or handle which may cause a fire.
■ The handle of the pot gets hot during and after cooking. We recommend using a potholder or something so to not get burned.
■ This pot can be used in replace of an oven, but unlike iron made and stainless steel Dutch ovens, this pot cannot be placed directly on charcoal. Which means it is not fit for roast dishes that are made over a charcoal fire. You can use it as ovenware at a temperature of up to 280°C/536°F.
■ Since aluminum’s melting point is low, there is a risk of deformation if the pot is placed directly on top of charcoal or if charcoal is placed directly from above. Open fires such as bonfires and burners are alright, and as long as you avoid the pot from touching the charcoal directly, you can prevent deformation.
The color of the handle is anodized gold for both the lid and the body.
We made modifications based on requests we received from users to consolidate the design.
In particular, the most frequent request we got was to have a color that other manufacturers do not have, and received the idea that it would be nice if both the lid and the main body had luxurious gold specifications. So we chose to add a gold color to both the lid and the main body.

The material that is used for POD+PAN, aluminum, has exceptional heat conduction that even while cooking on low heat, the heat is sufficiently transferred to the entire pot. Therefore, cooking on high heat is not necessary, and you can do basic cooking on medium heat once it starts boiling, then continue on low heat. Also, since it is made of a thick alloy, its high temperature continues cooking with residual heat even after turning off the stove.

While we searched for something that could be applied to processing technology that already exists, we focused on camping, something that I have liked from a young age. It is with that we launched a new brand called Blackburns to manufacture and sell outdoor gear.
